Consistency: Your serves and returns land in bounds at least 50% of the time. Intermediate Level You know the rules inside and out, and you are starting to think about strategy. Knowledge: You have a good understanding of the basic rules and know exactly how to position yourself for each point. Skills: You can successfully hit forehand and backhand volleys at the Non-Volley Zone (NVZ) with control over height and depth. You move easily in all directions to chase down balls. Strategy: You actively move to the NVZ after returning a serve instead of retreating. You are aware of dinking and are starting to use third-shot drops and drives consistently. Consistency: Your serves and returns must land in bounds at least 75% of the time. Please note: If you are undecided if you should move to the next level, you need approval from the instructors.  They will determine if you have advanced to the next level, need to move down a level or stay at the same level.
