Junior Hornets Baseball Clinic With Coach Schlegel (ages 8-12) • Register • View Cart •

Join Manchester-Essex Teacher & Coach Matt Schlegel, who has been a coach in town for over 30 years, will lead a new baseball clinic this summer at Sweeney Park. Along with varsity baseball players, this program will focus on the fundamentals of all aspects of the game, including pitching and catching, infield and outfield work, batting, throwing, baserunning, and situations which will allow all players to develop their skills. Players will be divided by both age and ability.

The day will consist of several drills, talks, and demonstrations. We will then have a half hour snack time break, and then the players will have a game/scrimmage following the break to test their newly acquired skills. A feature of the program will be a Pitch, Hit, & Run Contest for each age group as well as a Home Run Derby for the older group.

Players should bring a snack, water bottle, baseball glove, hat, and cleats.

Dates: Monday, June 24th – Thursday, June 27th
Friday, June 28th will be a rain date if necessary
Location: Sweeney Park
Time: 12:30 – 3:30
